Lindsay Lohan misses morgue appointment

Lindsay Lohan misses morgue appointment - Lindsay Lohan is “sorry” for missing her court ordered community service appointment this morning.

Lindsay had her probation revoked yesterday by Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge Stephanie Sautner. Judge Sautner believed Lindsay was in violation of her probation due to the star’s poor attendance at a city women’s shelter, where she was frequently a no-show.

Judge Sautner pressed Lindsay to complete at least 16 hours of community service per week at the Los Angeles County Morgue before the star’s early November violation hearing.

Lindsay was to begin service at the morgue today at 7AM, but the actress was tardy.

“I'm sorry for the confusion that I may of caused to those at the Coroner's office. Won't happen again, now I know where to go! Thank you for your help. [sic]” Lindsay posted on Twitter today after being dismissed from the morgue by company officials for arriving 20 minutes late.

Lindsay faults her lateness to confusing entryways.

"Lindsay arrived at the morgue approximately 20 minutes late and will be returning for orientation tomorrow. Her lateness was due to a combination of not knowing what entrance to go through and confusion caused by the media waiting for her arrival. Lindsay spoke with the supervisors at the morgue, they showed her how to get in and everything is all cleared up," Lindsay’s publicist Steve Honig said in a statement.

The actress was detained in handcuffs and remanded to police custody after Wednesday’s hearing. A $100,000 bail was set for Lindsay’s release, which she posted later in the day.

Lindsay’s next probation violation court date with Judge Sautner will be held on November 2. During that hearing the judge will determine whether or not Lindsay will be sent to jail for a year.

Lindsay’s trouble stems from her no contest plea earlier this year in the case of a stolen $2,500 necklace from a Venice, California store.
